Daedalus by Knossos — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Knossos LLC ("Knossos", "we", "us", "our")
collects, uses, and protects information when you use Daedalus by Knossos
(the "Service"). By using the Service you consent to the practices
described here.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Service.
(a) Account information. Name, email address, the tenant (company) you
belong to, and your role within that tenant. Required to sign in.
(b) Project data. Floor plans you upload, device placements, cable
layouts, network configurations, room polygons, calibration points,
and every artifact derived from this work (BOM, scope of work,
network maps, rack diagrams). This data is owned by your tenant
and visible only to authorized members of that tenant.
(c) Usage data. Sign-in events, IP addresses, user-agent strings, and
timestamps of authenticated actions captured in our audit logs.
Required for security review and incident response.
(d) Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe.
We receive a customer identifier and subscription metadata from
Stripe but never see or store full credit card numbers — those live
only on Stripe's servers.
(e) Support communications. Bug reports submitted through the in-app
feedback button (including any screenshot you choose to attach),
help-drawer interactions, and emails you send to support.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
(a) To provide and improve the Service — host your project data, render
the canvas, generate exports, and ship the features your tenant
pays for.
(b) To process subscription payments via Stripe, including invoicing,
plan changes, and refunds.
(c) To send transactional emails — invitations, password resets,
project-share notifications, and platform-admin notices when
your tenant's plan changes.
(d) To respond to support requests, debug issues you report, and
follow up on feedback.
(e) To ensure platform security — detect suspicious sign-in patterns,
prevent abuse, enforce per-tenant resource limits, and respond
to legal process when required.
We do NOT sell your information to third parties. We do not use your
project data to train AI models.
3. DATA ISOLATION
Each tenant's data is fully isolated from every other tenant's data
at the application layer. Database queries are scoped by tenant ID
on every authenticated request; cross-tenant access is impossible
through normal application flows.
We do not share your project data with other customers. Aggregate
usage metrics (total user counts, feature adoption rates) may be
computed across the platform, but they do not include identifiable
content from your projects.
Super-admin operators at Knossos LLC have technical access to all
tenant data for support, debugging, and platform operations. Every
super-admin action is logged with the operator's user identity. An
"impersonation" feature lets a super-admin temporarily view the
Service as one of your users to debug a reported issue; impersonation
sessions are time-limited (one hour), display a banner on every page,
and are recorded in the platform audit log.
4. DATA RETENTION
(a) Active accounts. We retain your data for as long as your
subscription is active.
(b) Cancellation. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your
data for 90 days to allow reactivation. After 90 days, you may
request deletion by contacting privacy@knossos.io. Backups
containing your data may persist for up to 30 additional days
before rolling off our retention window.
(c) Audit logs. Sign-in events, security events, and per-tenant
activity logs are retained for 12 months for security and
compliance purposes.
(d) Payment records. Stripe retains payment records per their own
retention policy and applicable financial regulations.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We rely on the following vendors. Each has their own privacy practices;
review their policies for details on how they handle data we send them.
(a) Stripe — payment processing. We send your tenant identifier,
subscription tier, and billing email. Stripe's privacy policy:

(b) Anthropic — AI features (rack-photo identifier, datasheet PDF
import, audit-photo analyzer, voice-note transcription). When you
use these features we transmit only the specific file you uploaded
(image, PDF, or audio) plus a system prompt describing the task.
We do not transmit project data, account information, or aggregated

(c) Resend — transactional email delivery. We send the recipient's
email address, the email subject + body, and the accept-URL token.

(d) DigitalOcean — server and database hosting. Subject to DigitalOcean's

6. YOUR RIGHTS
(a) Access. You can view your own account information from your profile
page and your tenant's data from any project you have access to.
Contact privacy@knossos.io for a full account-data export.
(b) Correction. You can edit your name, email, and password from your
profile page. Tenant admins can update tenant-level information
from their admin settings.
(c) Deletion. Tenant admins can delete projects from within the Service.
To delete your entire account or your tenant, contact
privacy@knossos.io.
(d) Portability. Project data is exportable via the Scope of Work PDF,
BOM CSV, and (for tenants on the Business tier or higher) the
read-only REST API at /api/v1.
(e) California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what
personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of
its "sale" — though we do not sell your information.
(f) European residents (GDPR). You have the right to access,
rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection
regarding your personal data. Contact privacy@knossos.io to
